Today was the last day that my AVID class would gather not only as a class but as a family. I remember walking through the doors of room 254 on September of 2007, not having a clue on what to expect about this class. Being a freshmen, I had mixed feelings about everything, but specifically high school. I walked into a class of about twenty six students of different races, personalities, and backgrounds. Only knowing one person, Katie Gehring, I felt as if this class was going to be hard to transition in to. Knowing that I would spend the next four important years of my life in, I prayed that it would be a class I would always remember. I strongly believe that God heard my prayer that day, because after four long years, I looked at the clock today and I realized I would only have five minutes left in this class. I began to take a look around to the many faces that has impacted my life greatly and take a breath and thank God for placing me in this class.
My AVID class has been one class that I will always remember until I am old and retired. I pray that God will direct and guide them in whatever they choose to do. I pray love, comfort, support, & protection over them as they venture off to the REAL WORLD. I know that God has so much in store for them and I will be there cheering and praying for them. Some of them will become doctors, figure out the cure for Cancer, break many records in the Olympics, become great parents, a pilot for the air force, and study abroad to beautiful places around the world. Whatever they decide to do, I pray that they will not only reach these things but do well in it. I love these people and I consider them my brothers&sisters.I will definitely miss them but know that we will come together again.
Love,
-toriMy beautiful AVID family<3
